In his photographic works, the artist takes a critical stance on the architecture and social culture of the favelas in the Brazilian megalopolis of São Paulo. The main feature of the spatial identity of these slums, clearly deviating from the formal concept of traditional urban planning, is the fact that the inhabitants of the dwellings are also their builders.
